Meet top chefs and see over 150 exhibitors at this year’s Powderham Food Festival

There will be a selection of high profile chefs at this year’s Festival at Powderham Castle on 6–7 October. James Strawbridge (The Hungry Sailors), will make his debut appearance at this annual event, alongside broadcaster Judi Spiers, who is hosting the chefs’ theatre.

Colin Bennett, acclaimed patisserie chef; Ashley Wright, Head Chef at the Horn of Plenty; and Darrin Hosgrove, respected Chef Director at Ashburton Cookery School will also be at this two-day celebration of South West food and drink, alongside over 150 exhibitors providing all things edible, drinkable and delectable.

There’s an exciting programme of food-related activities for all the family. Take part in the Great Devon Chilli Challenge or watch ‘smoking hot’ demonstrations in the Theatre of Fire and Smoke, hosted by barbeque legends Simon Dyer and John Gower.

Young ones are well catered for with a chance to get hands-on with cooking led by the Fun Kitchen or enjoy comedian, Dan the Hat, plus live music.

Adults: £9 (£7.50 online), under-16s: £3 (£2.50 online), family ticket: (2 adults, up to 3 children) £20 (£17 online), children under 5 go free. Open 10am–5pm daily.
