Keep a space in your diary over the early May bank holiday for this ever-popular foodie event
5 - 7 May 2018
The South West’s ultimate foodie event returns on the early May bank holiday weekend, from Saturday 5 to Monday 7 May, located in the idyllic surroundings of Exeter Castle Courtyard and Northernhay Gardens, in the heart of the city.
Festivities kick off at 6.30pm on Friday 4 May with Exeter Beats, featuring live music, street food, regional drinks and a lively atmosphere (undercover if it’s wet). Two further Exeter Beats events will light up the courtyard on Saturday and Sunday evenings.
The daytime festival opens on Saturday 5 May at 10am and continues throughout the bank holiday weekend, with regional chefs, artisan producers, family-friendly workshops and live music.
The three-day festival offers exceptional food and drink, all of which is produced in the South West, alongside cookery demonstrations, hands-on activities and the chance to meet producers and chefs, with over 100 exhibitors in two large food and drink pavilions.
The Darts Farm Taste and Knowledge Teepees will host a packed schedule of workshops, demonstrations and talks on topical food and drink themes.
Exeter Castle Courtyard will feature live music from local musicians and bands to enjoy while savouring the Festival Bar, with street food served throughout the day and late into the evening.
Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink is a not-for-profit event.
