Powderham Food Festival celebrates local produce at its annual event

Powderham Food Festival returns on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 October, celebrating the best of local food and drink. With autumn being such a bounteous time, when better to shine a light on fresh local produce at an event the whole family can enjoy?

Rachel Pinnock, a food anthropologist who works at Exeter Cookery School and as a Sugar Smart ambassador, will show how veg can be transformed into nutritious family meals. Meanwhile, Judi Spiers will be joining the team from Home Farm Café, creating delicious dinners for week-night mealtimes. Fun Kitchen is also supporting Sugar Smart’s campaign, with it’s messy and educating hands-on cookery classes.

Experience a line-up of the region’s best culinary talents at the Exeter Cookery School stage. The ever-popular Theatre of Fire and Smoke will also be back, with the Clifton Chilli Club hosting its annual Great Devon Chilli Challenge.

With over 100 local food, drinks producers and craft stalls to explore, the Festival will be a fantastic family and foodie day out for all to enjoy - so put the date in your diary for the must-visit autumn food show at Powderham Castle!
